On September, 25 in Ternopol city at press conference titled "The Role of civil leadership in building of democratic state and its regions », where the project «School of leader «Start with yourself change the country!» was presented , the chairman of Democratic Alliance Vasyl Gatsko marked that the «necessity of appearance of «OTHER ELITE» is predefined with incapability of present Ukrainian politicians to provide harmonious and crisis-free development of our state».

The leader of political organization also added that "Other Elite" has to educate itself. And civic society has to take responsibility for creation of conditions to appearance of new elite.

Vasyl Gatsko marked: with the help of the system of schools of civic education Democratic Alliance for four years already forms new, responsible, valued patriotically-oriented public-political elite of the state which soon will reconstruct the country.

The main purpose of the project «School of leader «Start with yourself change the country!» is development of leader qualities in Ukrainian young people in the context of preparation responsible, patriotically oriented public-political elite of Ukraine.

The project of Democratic Alliance «School of leader «Start with yourself change the country!» took pace in 2005 in Zaporizha, Lugansk, Chercasy regions, in 2006 in Dnipropetrovsk, Odessa, Kharkiv regions, in 2007 - Zhitomir, Micolaiv, Chernigiv.

In 2008 it is organized in Vinnica, Sumy, Ternopil regions. During 2005-2007 more then 300 young people participated in the project.
