According to the Interfax, the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, adopted a law on pension reform early on Friday after discussing amendments to the document for eight-and-a-half hours.
In particular, the law foresees a gradual increase in the retirement age for women from 55 to 60 years and an increase in pensionable service by ten years for men and women.
During the second reading of the document, MPs almost completely ignored the amendments, including those supported by the parliamentary committee for retirees, veterans and disabled people, and 248 MPs out of the 328 present in the session hall passed the law as a whole.
